Barks and Bikes Poker Run — Ride for a Cause!

Alright family, it’s time to fire up the motors and do what bikers do best—ride for something bigger than ourselves. The Hideaway Legends are throwing down another charity run, and this one hits close to home. The Barks and Bikes Poker Run is going down Saturday, February 28th, and every mile we ride helps animals in need through HALO Animal Rescue.

📅 Saturday, February 28th
💵 $30 per motorcycle
📍 Start & Finish: Roadhouse
🕘 Registration: 9:00–10:00 AM
⏰ All bikes back by 3:00 PM

This is a self-guided ride, no babysitting, no rush—ride your own pace. We’ll be rolling through some solid stops: Azool Bar and Grill, Dillingers, a secret bonus stop, The Blooze Bar, and then it’s back to Roadhouse to wrap it up right.

Brotherhood. Heart. Impact. A Shoutout From The Hideaway Legends

From the first twist of the throttle to the last kickstand drop of the year, this brotherhood showed up strong. On behalf of The Hideaway Legends, this is a full-throttle shoutout to every single member who put in the miles, the time, and the heart to make 2025 one hell of a year.

Because of you, we donated $25,290 in 2025, bringing our year-to-date total to $57,377. That’s not just numbers—that’s real lives changed, real help delivered, and real proof of what happens when bikers stand shoulder to shoulder for a cause.

We closed out the year strong in December, putting our money exactly where our mission is:

  • $2,500 donated to Dogs for Vets
  • $2,500 donated to Veterans First
  • $1,000 Sunshine Dog Rescue

At our last meeting on Saturday, we were honored to have two of our charities ride in and stand with us—Veterans First, Dogs for Vets, and Chrysalis. Hearing firsthand stories about how these donations have touched lives hit every one of us right in the chest. That’s the moment you realize every raffle ticket sold, every event worked, every mile ridden matters.

To our members: thank you for standing tall, digging deep, and proving once again that this isn’t just a riding group—it’s a family with a purpose. And to everyone reading this, we’re calling on you for even more in 2026. More fundraising. More showing up. More attendance at meetings and events—because without boots on the ground and bikes in the lot, none of this is possible.

Let’s keep the engines loud, the brotherhood tight, and the mission front and center. We ride for those who can’t—and we’re just getting started.

Hideaway Legends Bring Holiday Firepower to Child Crisis of Arizona

On Saturday, December 13, the roar of The Hideaway Legends motorcycles hit the streets as our crew rolled up to Child Crisis of Arizona, loaded to the brim with toys and $1,800 in gift cards. This wasn’t just a ride — it was a mission: bring smiles, laughter, and a little biker brotherhood to kids in need.

From the moment we arrived, our crew was hands-on, helping kids pick out up to three toys each and making sure every family felt the love and support of our gang. Watching their eyes light up and hearing their laughter? Priceless. It’s a feeling every Legend carries home in their heart.

The event was packed with holiday action: kids feasted with Santa, played games, and experienced the joy of the season in full swing. We didn’t just drop off gifts — we rode in as a force for good, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with families, bringing energy, and sharing the joy of giving.

At The Hideaway Legends, we live by our mission: support children, veterans, and our community, and ride hard while doing it. Huge thanks to Child Crisis of Arizona for letting us be part of this epic day.

Hideaway Legends Member Only Toy Run & Service To The Children At Child Crisis Az!

Alright Legends—it’s that time of year where we fire up the bikes for something bigger than ourselves. This season, we’re rolling out for a members-only toy drive and volunteer run to support Child Crisis Arizona, and we’d love to have every one of you riding with us.

We’ll be meeting up at Super Pump Gas Station at 8990 E. Shea Blvd (92nd Street & Shea). Kickstands go up at 6:30 AM, so don’t be late. From there, we ride out together to the crisis center to help with their Breakfast with Santa event, serving from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

We’re asking all members to bring a new, unwrapped toy—something that’ll put a smile on a kid’s face this Christmas. These families are going through tough times, and a small act from us can mean the world to them.

Once we arrive, we’ll be helping serve breakfast, hanging out with the kids, and doing our part to make their morning a little brighter. It’s a simple way to give back, and it means a lot—plus, nothing beats rolling in as a pack and showing what Hideaway Legends is all about.

Delivering Warmth Legend-Style!

The Hideaway Legends just wrapped up another mission we’re damn proud of. We kicked off a series of big deliveries to Chrysalis — all aimed at giving women and children a warmer, safer place to lay their heads. Our donation included 87 twin sheet sets and 80 twin blankets, all sent with one goal in mind — to help bring a little warmth and comfort to families rebuilding their lives.

This wasn’t just a donation — it’s our way of standing behind people who are fighting through some of the toughest moments of their lives. Every member of our crew believes in helping create a space that feels safe, warm, and human. If a set of clean sheets and a warm blanket can bring even a moment of peace to women and children at Chrysalis, then it was all worth it.

We’re proud of what our group came together to do, and even prouder to stand behind a place that gives women and kids a path forward!

Ride for a Reason – The Annual Hideaway/Roadhouse Toy Drive!

It’s that time of year again! Hideaway Legends is proud to roll alongside The Roadhouse and The Hideaway for the annual Toy Drive supporting Chrysalis, an amazing organization that helps battered women and their kids get back on their feet.

We’re asking all our brothers and sisters in the biker community to step up and show what we’re made of. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or drop some cash to make a real difference this Christmas season.

Now through December 5th drop off donations at:

Hideaway Legends Supports Veterans First Backpack Program

This month, Hideaway Legends received a special letter of gratitude from Veterans First CEO/Founder and CEO, Joan Sisco. Veterans First is an incredible organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families, and we are honored to play a part in their mission.

Through our donations, Veterans First was able to provide children of veterans with the supplies they need to start the school year with confidence. This year, 26 backpacks were given out to children from veteran families who are struggling financially. Our contributions, combined with the support of other partners such as the Military Officers Association of America and Youth 4 Troops, ensured that each backpack was filled with grade-appropriate school supplies—helping kids walk into their classrooms prepared and proud.

Joan shared with us how our donations made a very personal impact on one child in particular:

“In addition, you provided Luke, who is 7 and in the 2nd grade, all the art supplies he needs for art class and to do his art at home. His teacher told Gramma and Grampa, who are raising him, that he had exceptional art talent for his age. We know that you would have wanted to give him every opportunity to express his artistic talent in buying the art supplies he needed. We took a picture of Luke with his school backpack and all the art supplies spread out in front of him just for you all. We had an extra backpack for him that he was happy and excited to put his art supplies in.”

Luke’s grandparents, who are raising him, were deeply touched by this support, as was Luke himself. His grandmother even sent a thank-you note to the Legends. Joan explained how grateful they were that Luke could now pursue his creative passion:

“Luke is very Patriotic as you can see, his grampa is an Army veteran and has taught him how those who have and continue to serve our Nation provides its citizens the freedom we all share today.”

The Backpack Program not only eases the financial burden for families of veterans but also gives their children the opportunity to begin the school year with pride and joy. For Luke, that support means a chance to grow as an artist while honoring his family’s service and sacrifice.

We are humbled to be part of such a meaningful initiative and thankful to Joan Sisco and Veterans First for letting us know the difference our contributions have made.

These moments remind us why our mission matters—because behind every backpack is a child, a family, and a story worth honoring.

On The Open Road Forever – In Memory of a True Legend, Mark McKay!

Mark was a loyal soul to anyone that was lucky enough to be in his inner circle.   A bit of a loner, but if you took the time to forge a relationship he would be a trusted friend forever.  Mark would give you the shirt of his back and was always a rock to his friends.  

He loved flying down the Arizona roads on his Big Dog chopper;  with Mark, being a biker was a lifestyle, not a hobby.   He was a true biker from the inside out, always ready to help his fellow Hideaway Legends or people he met on the road.  

Mark left the world much to soon, leaving his beloved Pat behind as he left his earthly existence.   He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, especially his friends at the Hideaway and Roadhouse.

Donations are appreciated to help fulfill Mark’s final wishes and cover his end-of-life expenses.

Cornhole Success!

On May 29th, The Hideaway Legends proudly hosted a wildly successful charity cornhole tournament—and it was nothing short of amazing! With 16 enthusiastic teams tossing bags and battling it out, the day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and an overwhelming sense of community. We were thrilled to welcome so many new faces, all coming together for a great cause. The energy was electric, the smiles were contagious, and the generosity was inspiring. Thanks to everyone’s support, we raised a fantastic amount of donations for our charities. It was a day of fun, connection, and purpose—one we won’t soon forget!
