Biketoberfest 2025 was Rockin!!

Biketoberfest 2025 was a great weekend for everyone that attended!! The music was rocking day and night and the Hideaway Legends sold a ton of tickets for the bad ass Lowrider ST/Trask Turbo raffle bike!

The weather was spectacular and it was great to hang out with our friends and meet new ones! Biketoberfest kicks off the riding season in AZ and from the looks of it, this season is going to be a great one!!

RIP Hideaway Legend Joe

1/25/59-10/10/25

Joe was born and raised in Michigan. Joe’s work career began in 1978 when he started as an inside sales rep for RHM Fluid Power in Westland, Michigan. Growing tired of the brutal Michigan winters he moved to Arizona in 1982. During his career Joe successfully managed large system integrations such as the Hoover Dam, Raytheon Gen II and a GE-10Megawatt Generator Lube Skid. He loved his work and had a passion for his customers. The customers in turn loved him and they developed friendships that extended beyond the workplace. Through this passion he built relationships in  California, Nevada and Arizona. Joe began working for Fludraulic in November, 2022 out of the Brea, California office where he managed several large projects in an automated security system for Chase Bank, the rebuild of a stage at the McCallum Theater in Palm Springs, Rebar Machine Service HPU’s and controls, Stull Design’s Squeeze Retriever and OZZIEs Scorpion Module Handler. Joe held two U.S. Patents for his designs.

Joe found his love for riding motorcycles in Arizona. He was extremely proud of his Harley’s and formed many friendships from his love of riding. He enjoyed riding with Roger, Charlie, Colin, and Dollar Bill. Many of his rides led him to the Hideaway where he developed many, many friendships because of his bigger than life personality. His dear Hideaway friends included Vivian, Ron, Mike, and Craig, to name a few.

Joe was a kindred soul, an absolute gentleman with an infectious smile. His kindness, warmth and compassion was spread throughout his Hideaway friends. Although he had struggles, he always took the high road and never showed it. His heart was a big as it gets.

Joe met the love of his life, Kelli in 2021 and loved to tell everyone and anyone how he met Ms. Kelli from Texas. Once day while he was dining out he sent his dinner back just so he could go and chat with Kelli. They built a friendship, fell in love  . Joe was smitten and before long they married. Kelli was drawn to him for his wittiness, kindness, and honesty. Joe liked to refer to their bond as the “Kelli & Joe Show”. Although Joe was not a traveler he was ready for adventures with Kelli. Kelli and Joe traveled to Mexico several times, Nashville, Las Vegas, Southern California and cruise to Greece.

Surviving him is his wife, Kelli, mother, sister, two daughters and several grandchildren.

The world, particularly The Hideaway Legends has lost a kindred soul, a gentle giant who will be forever missed. RIP

On The Open Road Forever – In Memory of a True Legend, Mark McKay!

Mark was a loyal soul to anyone that was lucky enough to be in his inner circle.   A bit of a loner, but if you took the time to forge a relationship he would be a trusted friend forever.  Mark would give you the shirt of his back and was always a rock to his friends.

He loved flying down the Arizona roads on his Big Dog chopper;  with Mark, being a biker was a lifestyle, not a hobby.   He was a true biker from the inside out, always ready to help his fellow Hideaway Legends or people he met on the road.

Mark left the world much to soon, leaving his beloved Pat behind as he left his earthly existence.   He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, especially his friends at the Hideaway and Roadhouse.

Donations are appreciated to help fulfill Mark’s final wishes and cover his end-of-life expenses.

Please donate cash to Dawn at the Hideaway, Barbara Dummitt, or Mike King.

Rest in peace brother. Ride free and enjoy those perfect roads on the other side.

Revving Up For a Cause! The Hideaway Legends Raffle Raises the Bar!

The rumble of engines, the camaraderie of riders, and the spirit of giving all came together during this year’s Bike Week as The Hideaway Legends hosted a thrilling raffle event. At the heart of the excitement was the chance to win a brand-new 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Bob—a dream ride for any motorcycle enthusiast.

With 1,500 tickets sold, the anticipation built up throughout the week, culminating in a high-octane finale. As the final ticket was drawn, cheers erupted when Donnie Jones’s name was announced as the proud new owner of the coveted Harley.

This event wasn’t just about the thrill of the ride; it was a powerful demonstration of our community’s commitment to supporting veterans and women who have faced abuse. Every ticket purchased contributed directly to these causes, turning passion into purpose.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Donnie Jones and our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated. Your support fuels our mission and drives positive change.

Stay tuned for more events and opportunities to ride for a cause. Together, we ride stronger.
